‘HONOURING ALL VIETNAM VETERANS GOLD SOVEREIGN COMMEMORATIVE COIN’

After distinguishing themselves honourably – often fighting hand to hand, with an enemy indistinguishable from the civilian population - Australia began to wind down its military effort in Vietnam in 1970. In all over 60,000 Australian defence force personnel - including ground troops, air force, navy, medical and ancillary personnel -  served in Vietnam, 523 losing their lives as a result of the war and almost 2,400 being wounded.

Now recognised as some of the bravest service personnel in our military history, The Bradford Mint is proud to honour all veterans who served – male and female, military and medical, artillery and ancillary – and remember their selfless service and sacrifice with this meticulously crafted, fully etched, Gold Sovereign from The Bradford Mint. One of just 1,975 minted worldwide  - in line with when the war ended – the coin acts as a fitting mark of respect for our ANZACs - their attributes, battles and Australia’s pivotal part in that tortuous conflict.

Accompanied by a fact-filled booklet and Certificate of Authenticity,  issued under the authority of Ascension Island and approved by Buckingham Palace – this 22-carat gold sovereign coin signifies the respect and recognition that all personnel who served in Vietnam deserve – then and now – sixty years afterwards
