About this set

The life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II was truly remarkable. She reigned for so long that Australia's first coins and stamps to bear her portrait were produced when we still used pounds, shillings and pence! Australia's first of her coins and stampls were produced in her coronation year, 1953. In the same year the first definitive stamps were produced, along with a set of 3 commemorative for her coronation. This set includes all of there important 'firsts': the complete set of six Australian coins of 1953, plus the complete set of first definitive stamps (the first of which were issued in 1953) and the set of three 1953 issued coronation commemorative stamps. Every one of the coins and stamps is an original and while they are all important in their own right, they are highly significant as a set. Call our Senior Executives now to ascertain availablility.
